CARRIE
Carrie graduated in 2013 from Hólar University with a Bachelor of Science and as a certified FT Trainer and Instructor. Only the second American to attend Hólar, she was awarded the Morgunblaðið Award for best riding and horsemanship throughout the three-year program. Introduced to Icelandics over 20 years ago, Carrie began under the mentorship of Guðmar Pétursson. With over 10 years of professional experience, she has since trained horses with some of the most respected professionals in Iceland such as Ísólfur Lindal, Anton Páll Nielson, Hulda Gustafsdóttir and Hinrik Bragason. Carrie has been the highest-ranked rider in Five Gait (2013 and 2014) in the U.S. National Ranking and currently holds the US Record in 100 meter Pace Race. She is currently a USIHC National Team Member.
Maintaining a passion for continued education, Carrie has recently integrated methods such as positive reinforcement and liberty training. In recent years she has become known for her liberty appearances and skill at sharing liberty training techniques with her students.
TERRAL
A lifelong horseman Terral began under the mentorship of Terry Wilson, a Parelli certified natural horsemanship trainer and colt starter. His Icelandic Horse specific training began with Guðmar Petursson. He has worked for multiple well-known and respected trainers in Iceland including Anton Páll Nielson, Hulda Gustafsdóttir and Hinrik Bragason. While at Fet, Terral achieved certification as a young horse trainer. He is well known both in the U.S. and Iceland for his natural horsemanship techniques.
Terral has been the highest-ranked rider in Five Gait (2015 and 2016) in the U.S. National Ranking and is currently a USIHC National Team Member. He again toped the National Ranking in 2019 & 2020 with Veigar frá Lækjamóti in T2 Loose Rein Tölt.
He is a member of the USIHC National Team and has broken multiple US records in PP1 Pace Test.
